It would be the ultimate playing-field leveler--anyone (although undoubtedly not everyone) with access to a mind-reading device could sit down and, with enough concentration, churn out a full-length motion picture by simply imagining the scenes in his or her mind. Scenes could even be "shot" just like in a movie, including gaffes and multiple takes, and then rendered to video and edited traditionally. Soundtracks could be mind-composed by musicians and added during the editing process. This ability would probably first be made possible by products that would allow artists and distributors to pump movies directly into the brains of viewers, bypassing the physical senses.
